1) Cerro Catedral

Cerro Catedral is South America’s number 1 ski destination. It is close to the town of Bariloche, which has an airport making it very easy to get to. Cerro Catedral is a ski in ski out resort making it extra special. There is plenty of steep terrain and leg burning slops. There is even a terrain park called Nubes where you can practise your skills or try to at least. Once youare all skied out you can head to Bariloche town for long night of raging parties and cheap drinks.
2) Valle Nevado, El Colorado, and La Parva
Number of Lifts: 13 in Valle Nevado, 20 in El Colorado, and 15 in La Parva
Vert: 906m (2971 feet)
Set in the Chilean Andres, these three resorts are joined together, making an endless amount of trails. This trifecta of resorts holds the Eye of the Condor competition yearly. This ensures that the resort is always well groomed and the terrain park in tip top shape. You really get a bargain at these resorts because with the one ski ticket you get to ski all three resorts. There is something for everyone here, from advanced to beginner runs plus unlimited off-piste.
3) Las Lenas
Number of Lifts: 10
Vert: 1190m (3904 feet)
Lenas boasts the longest runs in all of South America. This brings in the ski fanatics from all over the world. The resort holds the Red Bull Powder Disorder yearly. This is a great time to go as there are loads of people and loads of things to do. Other than that, during the season there is not much nightlife. That’s why you have to be ski crazy to go to Lenas.
4) Termas De Chillan
Number of Lifts: 9
This resort is famous for its powder skiing. Some times the resort closes due to too much powder. This makes it one of the most consistent resorts in all of South America. Every ski seasons is guaranteed to be a good season. There is endless side country skiing and you can even ski off the Chillan Volcano – pretty cool! There are also a number of snowmobile operations to take you anywhere you want to go on the mountain, you can even go to the thermal hot springs which are an amazing way to relax those tired muscles.
